Guess it's about time we all got together to butt heads. The next HOA meeting
is scheduled for Aug. 13th 7:00 p.m. at Labelle Haven Baptist Church, so let's plan
to get there at 6:00 p.m. for our meeting. (Yes, I know I told several of you it was the
14th, sorry!) I'd like to talk about how we might strengthen our neighborhood watch,
and make it work efficiently.
Please try to update all information on your neighbor list, and I'll try to get my
own list current as well. I'd like to discuss things like theft, vandalism, etc. going on in
the area, ways to discourage such goings-on, and the use of motion detectors with
indoor chimes to announce intruders during early morning hours.
I need to know who needs an orange "Neighborhood Watch" T-shirt to lend
authority to our walking about. Do you need any window stickers or car tags? I
still have a few resident lists-with streetmap for some of you. Be thinking about any
other things you'd like to discuss at the meeting.
Don't forget, we have this wonderful web site as our own "bully pulpit" to say things
needing to be said. Bill Lloyd didn't set it up and maintain it just as a marquee to
announce meetings, but to be used for noble purposes such as uniting the thoughts
