The new fence on State Line Road looks awesome, a good investment I'm sure, now if we can just get more of the vacant houses filled and or the yards taken care of.

Can you remind people in the neighborhood not to be feeding the ducks as they wander up into the various streets. I have someone who is doing this, once fed, they don't want to leave

Spring time weather you can sure see a lot more activity now that the weather is 75 to 85 degrees We have noticed a lot of activity from others not from the community Ambassetor our courtesy patrol is paying more attention to cars that are not from our neighborhood and asking them not to be loitering in and around the common areas. I also encourage those on the neihborhood watch to comunicate with each other and report suspicious activity to the Police. We remind you not to approach but to report any unusal activity directly to the Police and or Ambassetor and let the professionals take care of how to address suspicious activities, tresspassing, and loitering.

I use Greenkeepers out of Collierville same people, Jose is awesome and does a great job - Even going out and buying your own weed killer and doing it yourself is better then nothing, Really bad weeds this year.

On the watch, cant help for noticing how may yards are over grown with weeds Several Vendors offer our neighborhood special deals that are really reasonable. I use to do my own and noticed not only was it expensivebut a lot of work. I descovered its not to bad to have your lawn sprayed and fertilized by professional and many have made deals for our neighborhood. Davis Lawn here in Olivebranch 901-413-8356 and Greenkeepers in Olivebranch, there are many more theese two companies do the majority in this neighborhood. Please spread the word its easier and you want have to mow as often because weeds grow faster!

another thought comes to my mind about our neighborhood, we have a lot of "senior Citizens" and a number of widow ladies living alone, if you live near one of these folks, be nosy, check up on them, ring their doorbell just to say hello, do they need anything etc. Kindness is cheap folks

In a recent discussion with a home owner a thought came to us. As a neighborhood watch member our mission should be more than just watch for suspicious activity.
All of us can help by keeping our neighborhood looking updated instead of outdated. Thats a sign of a neighborhood thats being watched!
If you see a street light out or a street sign bent please call the City Of Olivebranch. If you see litter help us keep it picked up and that includes tape from yard sale signs on stop signs.
Most impiortant make your home and yard a good example.
Missing shingles, rusty and faded mail boxes, yards full of weeds and not groomed. Taking care of theese things show's we are watching out for our neighborhood. Take pride and be helpful all of us together will make the difference.
